Living the Lord's Prayer

Whether in Sunday services or private prayers, the words “Our Father, who art in heaven…” have been used by Christians throughout the ages and across denominations. Though the words of this prayer are familiar to many of us, we rarely stop to consider what they mean, where they come from, and how they came to be seen as the most universal expression of Christian prayer. This course offers an in-depth examination of the Lord’s Prayer, including its literary setting, theological background, and on-going relevance in Christian faith and practice.
