The Bible and Poverty
At the heart of our Christian faith is the call to love our neighbors and care for those who suffer. But beyond these biblical directives, what does it look like to respond to the problem of poverty? How does Scripture speak about poverty in social, economic, and theological terms? What are its various causes and dimensions? What can we learn from the Bible about caring, effective, and lasting solutions to poverty both locally and globally? This series aims to address these and related questions about the church’s response to poverty.
